This morning I got up what felt like very early(because I didn’t get a ton of sleep) to do the Saturday group run.
It was supposed to be 1.4 miles but we went out faster than expected and we wound up doing 2.38 by my tracker.
I’m so not used to running on pavement that my knees felt a little stocky in the first interval and I straight up tripped on a crack in the sidewalk later and skinned my knees and shoulder and my hands.
I’m a little worried about my pinky but I think it’s just bruised. It’s got full range of motion but it hurts.
Like a gazelle.
So embarrassing!
On the other had I did it.
I was pretty beat up mentally and physically and after a long shower I went to bed. I slept for about 3 hours.
Then we went out for another World Cup bar.
This time we went to an Irish place in Sliver Spring.
For my afternoon workout I took my husband on a not terribly nature rich hike.
We found a Mount Airy rock and chatted.
On the way back we hit that beautiful golden hour of light.
My reading landed me on a Shakespearean era recipe that I very much want to try. It’s a cauliflower with nutmeg and cream thing.
I drank about 85 oz of water and felt thirsty anyway.
I also had an excellent tea at the Irish place.
